This pattern is no joke, everyone. Each row takes a long time (not as long as the Sweethearts, mind you) and it’s not really pleasant. But I have admired the Herringbone Rib Socks pattern since I bought my copy of Knitting Socks in Handpainted Yarn. I even started them once before with the troublesome Madelinetosh yarn that pooled like crazycakes (see “This Yarn is Cursed.”) And knowing how unpleasant it was to knit, I started another pair. That is how much I love this pattern.Doesn’t it look fantastic in this yarn? It’s Zwerger Garn Opal Handpainted which I got for free from boringknitter who was destashing a while back.
I’m not kidding myself here- these socks won’t be done until fall. Expect an update in a month or so.

I instantly recognized that yarn but I couldn't remember if I gave it to you or if you happened to buy the same thing. I'm sure it's happy to be out of stash and on the needles!
